Hi, I have a question regarding Seljuk Invasion CB. I have been playing a Armenian campaign in 867, and after few decades Seljuk event fired and as always they conquered entire region of Eran, then they tried to invade my lands but I managed to repel their invasion. Later their descendants successfully invaded Ikonion and following that they conquered entire Armenia, leaving me as a mere count in Caucasus Mountains. After that their event troops disbanded.

My questions are:
1. In order to event troops to disband, the whole Armenian and Ikonion Kingdoms have to be conquered or it is enough for them to conquer at least one province?
2. Regarding future versions of HIP, would it be possible to end Seljuk conquests after conquering Persia region while the Historical Outcome Promotion is set to Passive (which I was playing on this campaign)?
3. I have found in HIP folder events for Seljuk invasion. Is it possible that with combination of event editing and some heinous savescumming I could find a way to avoid being invaded? Or if I will cut the part of the event that requires for Seljuk invasion to cease after winning Armenia and Ikonion, the Seljuks will not invade me?

PS. It's that i don't like the outcome of my campaign, because I fully understand historical reasoning behind it. I'm just asking if there is another way other than constant fighting off Seljuk invasion, one after another.

I got around this by plotting to kill the Seljuk rulers. If you can manage to kill a few of them, they will probably have a lot of revolts and their imperial decay will skyrocket. In my game they went from having 45,000 troops to just over 15,000 in a matter of a decade or two. Eventually the Turks were usurped by a Persian, and now the empire doesn’t invade so much. Especially now that they’re dealing with internal division and only have about 10-15 thousand troops.

In all of my latest games the Invasion of Rum isn't working though...I'm talking about 10 games with no invasions.

I think the Seljuk AI isn’t very find at exploiting the events that come with the invasions. IIRC they have to take Ikonion and then they’ll take all the provinces they’ve occupied in Anatolia. In my game they easily conquered all the de jure area of Iran. Didn’t conquer Anatolia because I was the Byzantines and barely stopped the invasion.

As I follow up to what I posted earlier this week, unfortunately for me repelling invasion doesn't work, because Seljuk had started to spawn around 40,000 event troops and he has around 70k men in total, which is the number I simply cannot defeat even after I allied myself with Byzantine Empire, with their ruler being blessed with luck.
