TLDR: Specialization is nice, but overused.

Currently the obvious meta is to specialize all your planets with buildings and designations. I think making only some planets worth narrow specializing would be better situation. (I know, its less burdening to manage specialized planets). I would like to have option of making self-sufficient planet without handicapping myself.

For starters I would like something like “self-sufficient” planetary designation with general bonuses (stability?) scaling with number of resources you have positive balance on plant. Or “balanced” with hefty bonus to resource with lowest production on planet.

For general I think adding some trade-off to all designations (edicts like) would be interesting, as well as some penalties for imbalanced planet economy.
