An important part of Crusader Kings II is making sure you have a suitable heir to pass your realm onto. This can mean simply going with the first heir as he is competent enough, or a complex network of assasinations and political intrigue to ensure a capable heir inherits. This challenge is about reversing that. You try to ensure your heirs are as useless as possible, then play as that terrible heir, and continue the process of increasingly inept rule until your dynasty collapses under vassal rebellion.
Rules:
1. Start at the earliest date available, 1066. For more insane collapsing, pick a large realm (kingdom or bigger). No custom rulers allowed
2. Play through each ruler while ensuring your heir is as terrible as possible.
3. Whenever your current character dies, pause the game and total up the Dreadful Dynasty score for that character (explained later, but dependent on Realm Size and Traits)
4. Continue play as the new, hopefully terrible heir. Good luck, and remember to try to set up your next heir to be even worse!
5. Play continues until its game over for whatever reason. At which point, add up your Dreadful Dynasty scores for all your characters to get your final score.
Scoring:
The Dreadful Dynasty score of a character is calculated from the trait score multiplied by your realm size at death. You won't score much if you just hide as a single count in the corner of the map.
The trait score is determined by adding up the values of your traits. Most traits are relatively minor and do not affect your trait score. Sufficiently bad traits will increase your trait score, and sufficiently good traits will actually reduce your trait score. It is possible to have a negative trait score and therefore a negative Dreadful Dynasty score.. Congenital traits have a greater effect than their statistics modifier would usually suggest, as they affect your dynasty in the long-term.
