Seeking Participants for an Iron Kingdoms Strategy Game

Looking for folks interested in playing a forum-based role playing game in which they take on the roles of particular factions in the Iron Kingdoms setting.

We'll begin in Western Immoren and slowly expand the setting and storyline with new material. I'd envision that we'd have some sort of budget system and means to allow the different nations and factions to build armies and the like.

Not looking for claims yet; just folks who want to be involved.

I have no idea what Iron Kingdoms is. Can you link something that explains the book, movie, or game it comes from?

Judging from the name alone, I am moderately intrigued.

Seems like a fusion of high fantasy and steam punk, kind of like the oldish RPG Arcanum. So that's definitely of interest to me.

High fantasy meets steampunk, indeed.

The Iron Kingdoms are the setting for a pair of skirmish-level tabletop wargames, Warmachine and Hordes. The games are compatible and share common plot threads. The action unfolds across the western edge of a continent called Immoren.

This website should give you a decent grasp of the factions that occupy Immoren and its near abroad. I will presume to add a few more as gameplay progresses.

I will probably also borrow liberally from other, similar intellectual properties, including but not limited to: Final Fantasy, Malifaux, Game of Thrones, and The Stormlight Archive.

Mechanically speaking, I intend to employ several moderators and run the game as a narrative, combining elements of geopolitical simulation with role-play.
