Playing a good game is impossible with sectors auto creating.
Cant create them and cant delete them. Altough able to build Buildings.
Poor Goveneur assignation.
Also my sector isnt collecting resources.

I would also like to create vassals from my sectors but cant do that either :l

The Wiki Article is no help.

No, it's not impossible. Autogenerating sectors are annoying, and in some cases (sectors breaking up because invasions and such, and not reuniting later), but doesn't "break" the game. Also, in 2.2 you have control over them unless you select otherwise, so it's working as intended. OF course Sector AI is bad, but that's part of the broader AI issue...

Must be a bug because you can do that. It's the only option for creating vassals (and also another annoying thing since it's impossible, say, to form two vassals from a single multi-planet sector).

Sectors are just bad in 2.2. Most of the time they barely have 2 planets. And honestly you still have to micro manage them because the AI simply doesn’t work in the current state of things. In my opinion there needs to be a higher hyperlane minimum and planet minimum per sector that should adjust based on your map settings and habitable world density. Alternatively or additionally you should be able to add or remove systems to sectors to a degree. And choose sector capital... say if a sector was between 5 and 10 clicks with core sectors at up to 15 clicks that would be nicer...

Judging by the script files I would guess that they will add some more functionality to how you set up sectors. It looks like it would be possible to script changing sector capital with decisions and change the number of hyberlanes from the capital with techs etc. so this was probably something that was left out of the 2.2 release because it wasn't quite ready yet.

Sectors really need a way for the player to auto send them resources every month.

I would also prefer auto replace the governor when he dies because some sectors idgaf about and I just want them to produce for me, nothing more.

As they currently they are, they just arent very useful.

You're right, sectors really need some rework. I'm not using auto-sectors anymore. With current meta, the upkeep and spawn penalty are both high, I can't allow stupid AI to mess up my planets. Also not allowing adding/deleting of system is also stupid, it doesn't make sense when I want to vassalize a sector. I would be really appreciate if anyone has a mod to fix it.

To change hyperlane? WOW that's huge. I'd love to see it.

I don't really care about the sector mechanics per se anymore. What I do care is that in the later game most sectors only contain one planet due to the nature they are generated and thus take up space up in the outliner. Hence I am constantly forced to scroll even on resolutions like 4K. Sectors should contain like 4-5 planets to have any meaning and in order for the collapse button to actually matter.

it's not like I make good decisions when I have to plaster 20 governors on 20 single planet sectors...
