Hello,

All my planets except my homeplanet are populated with robots.

My problem is that the planets I put in sectors are not building more robots and are useing their existing robots to farm food.
So the planets I put in sector controle are only building farms but not a single robot. this means I can only put planets in sectors after filling all slots on a planet.

I doubt that this should be the function of a sector.

ALso when creating a sector, it costs influence to remove a planet from it befor I even finished forming it.
But it doesnt cost influence to "eat" a sector useing another sector.

The same applies with slaves, sectors should know when to enslave or liberate according to yields and happiness.

And how do I prevent the sectors from building farms?
You could disallow your sector from redeveloping their planets (default setting iirc). You'd still have to manually build something on every tile before handing your planet to a sector, but queuing them up is enough (no need to wait for them to finish)
Also maybe turn off the "respect tile resources" thing. I haven't actually tried it but maybe the AI won't build farms then, since it doesn't need any food on the planet?

You don-'t loose influence if you give a system from one sector to another, and the penalty is huge, you should try to perfect a game play style with sectors before saying that sectors are failed.

Thats exactly what I said. You should try to read carefully befor you comment that I said something wrong:

But it doesnt cost influence to "eat" a sector useing another sector.

But when you create a sector for the first time, and select some planets, you have to spent influence even if you did not confirmed the creation of the sector.

Do you? I thought it only cost influence to remove planets from sectors, not to create them in the first place.

Sectors have zero influence cost to create. It does, however, cost influence every time you remove a system from a sector, even if you didn't confirmed its creation yet (by clicking the "finish" button or pressing enter).

And how do I prevent the sectors from building farms?
Once the planets get filled to the brim with robots, sectors will stop building farms. The solution is to populate the place with as many robots as possible. Once you get there, the sector AI will start building other things on those tiles. This is also AI behaviour with regular beings too. It tends to prioritize putting food buildings on food tiles until it gets filled. Once that is achieved, it starts removing buildings one by one (if you have redevelopment available) until it reaches 0 food. It will tend to replace the buildings with whatever sector focus you have, unless it's running low on minerals or energy, in which case it will build whichever one it needs.

Guys, is it sad im contemplating a mass migration of robots to forced labor mining camp colonies and respec'ing original colonies and calling the process 'The Trail of Gears'?

Are your robots robots or synthetics?
