Forgive me if this has been addressed in a previous post, but I don't see anywhere where it has. Does anybody know why the sector AI tends to hoard up energy and minerals? And no, I am not complaining about the sector AI. I find that it does an adequate job of managing the sector if you make sure it has enough resources early on. I am just curious about why it likes to hoard.

Seeing as we are talking about sectors, Isn't the major problem the fact that the AI struggles with the planet development system and in that case, why was that system chosen if the AI is struggling with it?

I mean look at MOO3, that game was terribad simply because the player had to relay on bad AI, Isn't it the case here?

Personally I don't have problem with AI sector management, but I admit unless I am playing a slaver, my sector are always research sector with ignore tiles resource and redevelopment allowed and try not to tax them unless in need or they start to stockpiles a few thousand of resources (which usually only happen when they have nothing to develop left, as I usually hand them newly colonized planet, unless playing a pacific bureaucracy), so don't really care what they do as long as they produce research and don't go in negative energy.
