TL;DR: Mine isn't working ta all...........so need some help because I dont want to keep individually managing 10+ planets and I don't want to be creating vassals.

So Paradox said they overhauled how sectors are done to make it easier, more fluid and intuitive. So I thought I'd give it a go.

I have all my planets except my original first 3 under sector AI management after 2-3 years in to this experiment they are

- Not building housing

- Not employing unemployed pops

- Far as I can tell I'm not sure they are building.........anything.

Also yes I do have the sectors set to Production Focus and not "none or disabled". Yet they do nothing. I really don't want to play the game when I'm forced to manager 5...then 10....then 20...then 30 planets by myself because the sector AI doesn't do anything.

Their entire implementation of what was a perfectly fine feature before is attrocious. What the hell? There was absolutely nothing wrong with setting sectors previously and then forgetting about it. Now I'm stuck letting the AI determine what planets should fall into what sector and it makes some utterly moronic choices at that.

Thanks man. I see what you mean now. Although why does it give the option of donating energy credits? Thats never used in construction only minerals. Don't know why they just didn't leave the sectors as before where you could just say hey keep allll your earnings in X sector. or you guys are doing swell gimme 75% or you could withdraw stockpiles you'd deposited etc.

Anyways I gave minerals and despite many Mining, Farming etc district slots the AI chooses to go for buildings isntead?.......I don't want to manage 10+ planets I prefer to only manage my original 3 worlds and let the rest alone so I won't concern myself too much but seems like PDX released Le Guin as a alpha release. So much is not working well not to mention the horrible lag now.

Sectors use "stockpile" resource, which is transformed from either energy or minerals. Think of it as sector spending energy credits to buy minerals or rare resources from the market.

Remove word "sector" from that title and it will be more accurate. Afaik secors use same AI as other empires. If you don't mind mods, Glavius's AI mod fixes it to respectable level.

Sectors follow the same AI weights as the regular npc AI, with the exception that you can tell them what to build.

From the top of my head, AI builds job stuff (buildings, districts, etc) when there is unemployment; it builds cities when there is less than 2 available housing.

Resource districts are built depending on your resources:
If food < 12 : Farms
If energy < 8 : Generators
If minerals < 0 : mines
Otherwise, they are all weighted equally.
