Secrets vis-a-vis Religion

Maybe this is a stupid question, but it's still difficult for me to imagine the secret-hook system without actually playing the game (hint hint Paradox).

You're a king. You sleep with the barmaid. You know have a secret "adulterer." Is this only true if your religion has adultery illegal/shunned? If your religion accepts it then what happens? Does the game still note somewhere that you have this secret?

What about a character from another religion that dislikes adultery? Do they still have a negative opinion of you from that? Is it a secret until they find out or they can never find out because it's acceptable in your religion (despite being unacceptable in their religion)?

I've already pre-ordered but another way to say 2 weeks is 336 hours. That's alot of hours. I'd rather be spending those hours playing the game. If I could get you to investigate further and get some more hooks to up the release date, much appreciated. I'll give you a county of your choice.

Alright, I guess I'm going for that Intrigue perk that allows you to manufacture strong hooks, sir!

If your religion accepts something, then there is no form of blackmail, so my guess is that there's no way of having a hook. That said, I'd like to see how this would work as a rule where you change religion and keep your lover though!


Generally, CK is a game where you don't care as much about people of other faith, so you can expect an opinion malus anyway.
