Hi guys

As we know, some plances/countries are major sources of strategic resources, and much of strategy is about direct control or trade.

We all know Texas, Caucasus are oil rich. Brazil major rubber source and others.

However, im sure that there are another provinces/countries that produce some naturel resoureces not as plaintful as the majors, but enough to at lesat provide some of the big ones some breathing air.

Where also major could acquire some oil, ruber, tugestein and other resources, iron, coal eyc.

For instance, axis could go for Iraq for some oil, by WWII time it wasnt producing as much as today, but it might be enough to prevent starvation

i believe synthetic factories will also be a decent secondary source of resources, especially for resource starved majors either lacking in a navy and colonies (Germany), or lacking colonies to supply them (Japan). That is until Japan goes down the "See-Want-Take" route of acquiring her resources.

But more resources cant be a bad thing, if you're in a surplus you just get more factories essentially

I believe problem lies in Pd Hoi games where you cannot develop resources. Countries with abundant resources should develop it.I think it is easy to build mines.... Main problem is industry which needs educated workforce and countries like China should develop here for few decades.

Yes germany produced more than 60% of his oil demand by coal-oil conversion, around 10% by own oilfield, and obtained only the rest by trade.
But was due to the large amount of coal germany owned.
