I am playing as Carthage and having trouble getting peace with the stupid Romans. So far I have thrashed them in every major engagement. I took Malta, Panoramus, Corsica, Sardinia, and Ager Brutus. My warscore at its height was 46% saying I have won a big victory or something (not normal small victory). But no, they want to annoy me to no end by refusing to give up Malta. I want Malta because at the start of the war they had almost all my land east of Carthage under their control. I made peace with them (white peace) but there will be another war soon. I need help.

(BTW this game is a decent challenge unlike most games. Thumbs up for the challenge it is.)

Give them some gift that will help and try to evade them!

I have a better economy now because I have absorbed all barbarians in Africa. I tested my capabilities against Egypt and utterly smashed them (my only problem was my leaders were dying and I had to go back to replace them). Rome has taken 3 Gallic places and went into the Alps.

As has been stated numerous times, reducing an opponent's manpower to 0, along with annihilating their army, makes the AI more agreeable to large peace-deals.

Now I have a problem. My army paying meter is stuck at minimum. I put it there after the war with Egypt and now it won't go back. I can change naval but not land military. I am in my seocnd war with Egypt and I can't win unless I know how to raise it. It says I am like 47/37 over force limit but my economy can support twice that.
