Seconded. The more state building and true diplomacy, the better. For me, anyway.

Johan said:Yes.. Major nations and other fun nations (Sweden, Canada, Finland ) will have their own interface skins.
And making interface skins will be super-easy![]()

2ltben said:I don't think those are sliders, but rather markers at what that country is. The player is probably playing as the US considering the flag in the top corner. If it is, then when has the US been a left wing, opressive, and anti-democratic. The only thing suggesting that it's the player's sliders are the isolationism ones.
2ltben said:Well, are they sliders or are they markers? If they're sliders, what purpose do they serve?
One thing many missed dearly in Hearts of Iron was the political options you had in Europa Universalis 2 (and later in Victoria). While you could choose a basic left/right policy, you could not shape your policy in any detail. This is going to change in Hearts of Iron 2, though, and you’ll have much more precise control. You’ll be given seven policy bars that you can regulate, covering everything from “professional army - draft system” to “freedom - oppression”. Naturally the question is whether a player can radically change a country and for example turn the Soviet Union into a fascist state or Spain into a democracy. “Policy bars can be changed with a time interval. To change Italy into a communist state will take a lot longer time than it will take to change one of the democracies into a communist or a fascist state. In either case the gamer can change his country politically and economically exactly like he wants to during the game,” Fredrik W. Lindgren explains

C.N. said:- The interface details looks too modern, I would prefer something that would give more a flavor of the period. Suggestions:
1: Change the font to one that gives a classical type-writer look.
2: Make the background & the tabs at the top look like paper.
Darkfall14 said:quick question...why is the german flag the weimar flag??? does it change to it's historical flag??? or is that not possible due to euro laws...and if so will the american version have the right flag??
christianx said:They are not needed...but so many fans have been asking for them that I guess they felt compelled to put them in. The same goes for the minor alliance thingy.
