Hello,
thank you for this great update. Italy seems to be in much tougher position overall.

One question though: Is there any special use for Sea Plane Tenders? Can you put CAGs on them or any other flying units?
I am a bit confused here, help me out please.

MORE POSITIVE = Nice flavor event chains. I like the rebuild of the IC and economy. Very nice tech trees. Multiple AI's for different times/situations is very nice. :)

MORE NEGATIVE = Perhaps I am at fault somehow, but I have had 6 CTD's from Jan-Dec 1936. This is a clean install with zero mods except CORE.

We've seen some CTDs after the creation of Vichy (which can be overcome with reloading, I understand), but I don't think anyone has every reported early CTDs like you mention. Something sounds as if it is amiss - are you running any graphics pack extras or anything ? Different screen resolutions ?

They aren't carrier class vessels, so no, you can't add a CAG to them. They model these early hybrid vessels, and basically have greater air/sea vision capability than a comparable cruiser, say. However, they have significantly less attack capability, for example, and are a lot more vulnerable. Good scouts, but you best protect them.

in the middle of 1937 as USA... only had one CTD so far first time i started up but otherwise fine... Really impressed with the overall improvement of the mod... Love the new Trees :D!

Well done!
If those are reproducible then we'd like to know about it asap. But the HoI2 engine has a tendency to go belly-up once in a while, so it isn't necessarily something we can actually fix.

I had a CTD once, as Germany in '37, during the SCW. I think it was shortly after the send airforces event. However I reloaded from a save and it hasn't crashed since. I've started 2-3 more games as different countires and reached 39 and no further CTDs to report.
\
And oh ya, in the same game as with the CTD I had one other problem - I chose to continue with the ship building program, but around 37 I got a couple of "____ ready to be deployed" events but there was no name and no unit to be deployed. The event would just come up " (blank) ready to be deployed)". As far as I could tell most units were deploying normally (U-boats and Z and F series destroyers) so i don't think i missed out on any ships.

Hi,

I've never seen this. The events themselves have text that is independent of the actual units. If you get this again compare the event text, the option text and the unit that deploys and make note of the details. This would greatly help to determine if it is a problem with your install or something else. Thanks!

SeaPlane Tenders

I've been thinking how SeaPlane tenders could be integrated
into the game. I don't know if this idea could be coded into C.O.R.E., but here it goes.

PBY's or other seaplanes could be "based" on islands with no airbase, if there is a SeaPlane tender in the port. I beleive, this is how they were used historically. I know the Japanese
did this to send out reconnaissance aircraft to spy on American bases.

That is, a seplane tender in a port would substitute for a base for 1 squadron of 25 seaplanes.
Anyway this can be coded into C.O.R.E. if it can be, these auxiliary ships would then have a real function in the game.

Can't be done, I'm afraid, so you'll just have to live with what we have.
