That's it! I'm buying this game on release day without my usual customary wait to see what others think. I trust Paradox enough.

Hmmf. So 9000 clerks lord over 6000 crafts men ? Sounds to me its more communist then anything.
And also re: diplomacy. So Britain has just sold some technology to get a land claim ?I hope the Ai was designed not to be too easily swayed by that "I offer you mobilization, you give me half your state" "Hmm, OK !"
*Congratulations sir, Belgium has just recieved half of China !*

Is Brazil giving GB railroad tech in the first screenie???? I always knew my country was once upon a time a world technological power!!!!

I supposed so, but from the menu order (Leicester/Diplomatic Actions/Negotiations) it looks a little confusing... It sounds like GB is receiving and giving stuff...

Hmmm.... I was playing as Brazil...
Not entirely obvious but the player nation is always on the left.
The deal to get lvl 1 railroad would set me back one claim (costing between five and seven thousand plus material to build the building) and the 6200 monopoly billsBut that is of course dependant on how much the counterpart likes me and my tech level compared to them and the tech leaders in the world...

i'm curious to know how the tech leaders affect trade for other nations. are nations more likely to trade techs with nations far behind the tech leaders or ones the are close to / one of the tech leaders?
if a nation is considered a tech leader will it be reluctent to trade away rare knoledge even for a good deal? or will it be willing to trade tech's for other things since it is already leading the world in that area??
will nations nations be more or less willing to trade imformation with nations that have around the same tech value as them??
just some questions off the top of my head
