The russian name was 'Crusaders' ('Krestonostsy') from the very beginning.

Sergei himself didn't say anything about two games.
But he told he can't say it is not true...
And Johan's developer diary doesn't make anything clear...

Anyway everything is amazing.

About the sprites on the screenie. Is the mounted knight representative of Richard? Perhaps just a symbol for knights in general? Any ideas?

It's from an alpha build. Ports are not cleaned up yet... The ports were placed in exactly the same fashion in the fist Victoria screenies - remember? (see e.g. the fith screenie in this thread).

I'm pretty sure it's ports. :)

Well, looking at the sea zones would seem to indicate that there will be no naval units at all, which I recall reading somewhere.

As for Richard Couer de Lion, with a random generator of rulers, we could end up with a Lionheart, or equally end up with Richard Blackheart or something similar. We'll have to wait and see. :D

The laws look nice!

What, no navies? Well, I guess it could be abstracted somehow, and that would probably greatly help the AI...

How would relative navy strength be deceided then? Invasions etc? By population, number of harbour provinces and naval settings?

the map looks good, and i hope that this is only one of the modes of displaying it, since i expected something more alive. the sprites are nice. the number of provinces is amazing, but keep in mind that ports may designate also river ports. good job, but im a little confused with the coat of arms. it doesnt remind me of england at all, does anyone know why it looks so odd? (maybe im jsut ignorant of period heraldry). cheers

I thought this game was dead and buried but today I discovered a screenshot posted by Johan. Everything looked great except Richard Coer de Lion. Actually he looks like a nerd. It will totally destroy my picture of him as a great crusader. Please change it.

The law list was cool though:D

From what I understand the portraits are not historical but are generated from the traits which an individual character inherits. Even though the name is Richard the Loinheart the picture is a total fabrication of the game - even the name of Lionheart was made up by the player IIRC.:)

So don't be too disheartened. You will be able to create your own Richard the Lionheart (or Richard the Nerd) when you play the game.:)

Great, to tell the truth the guy and his family must have inherited quite some number of damaging genes in the course of time because he almost looks retarded:D
