leaders can be changed with a cost, same applies to doctrines (less costly). Or that is how i have understood it :)

What sort of cost do you mean? I wonder which gave you some clarification about that. I haven't found anything about military staff leaders so far.

Oh, yes. Resolution and color depth improved a lot. To be honest, I expected this since the first screenie was released.

Also the terrain graphics has improved. I can see some more trees, hills, etc.

Patric said they were still working on the map, so the improvements are normal and others will follow IMHO.

Yeah, the map has improved out of all recognition since those first ghastly shots of a couple of months ago. I like the typeface.

I too would like to see the anchor graphics reflect port capacity though.

What really grabbed me by the scrotum was the right info bar. If we can have this level of detail in government I'm a happy camper. It's just what I wanted from a WWII game. Now let's make Noel Coward Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and David Low Viceroy of India.

I am quite sure that this is an absolute must. Simulating naval warfare in such a detail as in HOI cannot be realistic without port capcaity!

(Just imagine that Sidi Barrani and Hamburg could be the same ports in BRT capacity...)

And not just that.. but supporting separate doctrines for each job.. schizofrenic, maybe?
I am guessing that each job has a separate and exclusive list of doctrines associated with it. For example in for army minister there could be static defense, armored assault, human wave, defense-in-depth, etc (NOTE - I am not a beta and Im making these up - the real doctrines are almost certainly something else). For chief of staff, possible doctrines could inlcude things like air superiority, integrated arms and so on. So in this case, Monty-Massy espouses a ground docrtrine in his role as army commander and an overall military docrtrine in his role as chief of staff. As army commander, he organizes British land forces to engage in static defense tactics. As CoS he emphasizes the use of artillery and naval gunnery to support land forces as an operational doctrine.

It was not unknwon for ministers to hold more than one portfolio at a time, especially prime ministers. Kind of like Berlusconi acting as his own foreign minister.

Well, one of the many best things about Paradox is the way they lay game data open to tweaking by end user scum like ourselves. So even if they don't provide for a Mongol standing army you can edit the scenario files and give them hovertanks. I myself want to create Magna Tuvinskaya, unite the Altaians and lead them against the cruel Bolshevik masters.

:D

Yes, you have heard too?? Temujin Two was the most important man in World War II. He led the mighty cavalry hordes of Mongolia and conquered the Soviet Union, all of Asia, the Middle East, and used his resources to throw a massive invasion of Europe. With the Eastern Hemisphere pacified, he invaded North America in 1943. His cavalry archers shot down every force that the U.S. and Canadians could send at him, and the Mongols won. By the end of December, 1947, Temujin Two ruled the world and was proclaimed Khan. Thus, the ending date. :D :D :D

Turkish military staff in HOI era? Is it a web resource and if so care to share the HTML? I have some stuff on F. Cakmak but not the rest of the military hierarchy (having Marxist parents severely limits the number of books on Turkish military in the family library :))

Tsk, tsk. Marxists should study the military very carefully, as it's critical to revolutionary success. Marx, Engels, Lenin, Trotsky, Mao, et al. paid a lot of attention to the military, some of them were original thinkers in the field.

As Trotsky said: "You may not be interested in war, but war is interested in you.":D ;)

Try wiping your screen gently with a cloth. Also, to prevent this happening in the future try one of several excellent special shampoos.

But, there's the possibility to change the various ministers and military officers into government or they're fixed and inamovible????

I suppose than you can change them in democracy every X years but not in Dictatures (Hittler chose his "ministers" himself IIRC)
