Take it easy, I tell you, I have full (100%) faith in Paradox especially after the Pink Bunny Of Love incident.

Well actually, as a lead programmer, I can tell you that we (Paradox) have decided that T-34 and stuff like Panther are very politically incorrect and can cause a lot of bad memories to come back, especially to people who won't even know of the games existance, i.e. war veterans. So no, tanks will be called "Steel Bunnies of Love" and besides, all military forces will only have one option "Hug Enemy Soldiers in a Friendly Manner and Go Home".

Well everyone's heard of Dover. (Ashford, Tonbridge are important rail junctions; I didn't seriously expect them to go in).

I second Dover as the province name, Portsmouth would work for a south central province, am I right?

The divisional specs looks sensible for the scale of the game.

BTW - hope the ports differentiate between major ports for warships and minor for trade / coastal craft and U boats. The number of docks capable of berthing the Bismarck for example were strictly limited.

That is a very good point. The capacity of ports should be an important factor in HOI. If not, it could happen that Hood docks at Sidi Barrani...

Map looks alright for a tactical map.

But one nit: The DLM icon ought to be a tank, not a halftrack. The DLM was the closest the Franch had to a Panzer division in 1940.

And a second: The DCRs were not organized until autumn 1939.

Well the DCR's are closest to what everyone else call a tank division. SO I think DCR is right for the French tank divisions. Maybe the French have had some cracking sucess at research which is why they have DCR's in 1936.

I doubt they can research and build them in all of 6 days and 13 hours.

Tactical map? You must be kidding me. That must for sure be a strategic map.
I don't know if there will or should be any tactical maps or management in this game, but that map is not a tactical map in my opinion.

Thanks Greven!

I still can't figure out what the Consumer Goods icon is supposed to represent though. The others I get: a drop of oil, steel bars, a rubber tire, and a boxof coal.

I like the little fire for dissent, by the way.
