upper right corner. Look by hte french flag.
There are 4 buttons, a gear, a tank, a factory and a letter.
Is that a way to switch modes or just an option to look at different menues. Like gear=reserach, tank=war relatde stuff, factory=production letter=diplomacy.

Sounds about right. Just like the little buttons in the lower left in EU.:)

I would also like to see some colour, some dynamism on the map. The rest is pretty cool. :)

I noticed there are two Troyes provinces, separated by a river; are they only one province, or is it an error?

Every graphic looks nicer than the previous; this is promising...

Also, maybe I am mistaken, but isnt Sedan a little lower?

Anyone else getting the feeling the map we all keep seeing, indeed the map that is being used for Beta testing isnt at all the map they have for the final product, i have a funny feeling they are going to do it soon and want to see our reactions to it, after all alot of the ppl on these forums are Paradox-EU loyalists :D
I can see us all later on laughing about how we all became so upset about A or B, or even what was wrong with C.
Can't wait til the day we all can play it and get some AAR's a flowin' ;)

The province to the left of Southampton seems to be called Portsmouth. It really needs a different name. Portsmouth and So'ton are only a few miles apart, and both are in the province called Southampton.

Is the intention to name provinces after leading ports, or after the name of the province as a whole? The Portsmouth province should be renamed Dover, Canterbury or Kent, none of which are quite right - but they are all closer.

I'd probably rename Southampton to Portsmouth or Hampshire as well.

well ive seen the picture i think the national boarder is thier, but when you se emain picture it only shows like 2/3 of frances land on the west side east side like towards belgium germany area you cant see so the boarders are thire more then likly but yu can see them in taht particular screenshot... also might be jsut a military view for the map, like in EU2 when you can see what citys are abeing attacked and were armys are wihtout having other map things in your way, like colours of tiles or trees mauntins etc..

Rivers well lets say its a WW2 type game maps were kindf of like this in them days, so you can clearly see were rivers are and maybe it means you have to capture a bridge or go around it later lol... either way rives in this game are more clearly defined then in EU2, but weill see what youer doing with the tiles..

Agreed, Wadhurst Man, Dover, Ashford, Tonbridge all preferable to Portsmouth.

Yeah. Make Southampton Portsmouth and Portsmouth Dover.

It seems like they've decided to go for city names rather than area names for provinces, which is fair enough given the time period.

Did Abuja exist in the 30s? I thought the Nigerian government practically built it from scratch in the early 90s.

I agree. And only the major citites should be on display. Ppl should be able to recognize the names and be able to relate to them. I'm not sure everyone knows about Ashford or Tonbridge for example. The cities may be misplaced a few miles, but then so be it, imho.

I think that there should be flag flying over the province. Or at least, show the border. Or is all of that under Nazi control?:p
