Rename your AVI folder to AVI_back.

The biggest cause of screen flicker is other programs running in the back ground.

For example outlook, or MSN, or a virus checker ...

These two problems are totally different. The most likely cause is the AVI.

In the future please start your own thread rather than hijacking other threads, even if it seems to you that they are related.

You may also want to change the refresh rate, or adjust the acceleration of your video card.
