I haven't played this game in a long time, reinstalled it today with the latest DLCs and patches but the display seems to be sized wrongly - I can only see a quarter of the screen with the rest extending off my screen - the game UI appears too big to display on my screen. I can't get to the game options menu to change the size/resolutions settings because it's off-screen. Little help?

Tried editing the settings file in C:\Users\FOARP\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II by changing X = 3200 and Y= 1800 to X = 1800 and Y= 900, but doesn't seem to have worked.
Changed the "fullscreen = no" value in the settings file to "= yes", with the size back to default, and that worked. Bit of a silly problem for the game to launch with, no? Surely "= yes" should be the default?
it is the default, while you may have uninstalled the game, the mydoc files do not automatically get erased.
Hmm . . . I say "reinstalled", but actually this is the first time it's been installed on this computer - does it carry over the preferences from one computer to the next? AFAIK I had fullscreen switched on on my last computer as well.
And why would having it on fullscreen = no result in only a quarter of the screen being visible when the screen is perfectly capable of handling max-resolution?
Do you have Windows display settings higher than 100% ? If so, go into the game folder, right click ck2game.exe, properties - compatibility- check "disable scaling on high DPI settings" or somesuch.
