Like many as the smaller countries it wasn't deemed worth it to put a Scottish culture in. Being Scottish myself I don't mind this at all, everything we did back then was as part of the UK and there was no serious change of Scotland breaking away from the UK as Ireland tried to do, which is why Ireland has it's own culture and Scotland does not.
