Right now I don't think I've *ever* seen AI England get the "Act of Union" event... This obviously needs to be remedied...

I was thinking, how about vassalizing Scotland to England in event 3026 #The Restoration of the Stuarts#? This would give the english at least the chance to diplo-annex Scotland.

Also, in "The Decree of Indulgence and the Bill of Test" ALL Options lower innovativeness, even "Religious Freedom for All"... Sounds weird doesen't it?

I made a thread about it and most seemed to agree.

Especially about the "Religious Freedom=Narrowminded" thingie, but most people seemed to agree with the Vassalize Scotland thing too.

OK, I changed option A (Religious freedom) to raise Innovativeness and lower Aristocracy, rather than vice versa. I wasn't sure about the Centralisation line, it seems to me an option that does not impose a religion should not affect the degree of centralision, so pending agreement from people here, I've removed that line altogether:

Won't this mess up the default English DPs for the rest of the game. I mean they will be much more innovative, which means lower colonists. Will they be able to colonize as well with this change added in?

It's only raising it by 1 - so a swing of 2 I guess. We could remove the Innovative effect altogether, of course, so only a swing of 1. It's just that it does seem od dthat a declaration of religious freedom should increase narrow-mindedness ...

-2 innovation means -0.8 colonists/ year or something. It's not insignificant. If the change is going to be put in the innovativeness ought to be removed in a different event.

OK, I've removed the INN effect in option A entirely, so only a change of 1 from before, that should be OK.

Where's the religious freedom when it forces ur state religion to protestant? What if u are catholic or calvinist and want to be religiously tolerant?

Could I just point out that the Lowland Scot would have been very much different from his Highland cousin and if you were to remove this you should really change Lothian and Strathclyde to Anglo-Saxon.

The Grampians province (such as it is in the game) should also probably be changed to anglosaxon culture.

It's no disagreement here, if it is felt that gaelic should be removed which i dont believe it should, then you would have to alter parts of Scotland to Anglo Saxon

Yeah, Giving Scotland Anglosaxon and changing the culture of all excepts the Highlands to anglosaxon would probably work best (perhaps change the Highlands to Anglosaxon in the Jacobite Rebellion event?)
