After playing for Eu2 for a while and trying out different scenarios, i found out that all of the scenarios must have been programmed by different people.

For instance in the all the latter scenarios (1617 upwards) Bearn still has Basque culture
or the Dutch colonies: in 1617 are all natives in indonesia whereby colonizing themself you create Reformed Dutch colonies in Jakarta and Jambi and so on, whereas Surinam and Cuyuni are dutch culture.. In 1700 Surinam and Cuyuni are Natives and Indonesia i not occupied by cities but mostly with TPs.
Apart that CoT cannot disappear which should happen to Kurland, Flandres, Novgorod and some time latter Mecklenburg which are never to be found in latter scenarios..
Funniest one is Flandres: Nonexistent in 1617 and 1700 only but reappearing in 1773.

I find this a little bit irritating and two of my big suggestions are that: CoT must become flexible or at last some of them dissolved or moved by events..

Also the colonization which happened to America and Australia is not to be compared to the Colonization that happened in Asia. Whereas the first two are truly colonized and thus the system is very good it totally lacks realism for Asia, where everything is already inhabited by people. Asian colonization were mostly TPs with some military forts..
Maybe a third colony type for Asia should be integrated...

You should not be able to convert 8000 natives in india or Sumatra "just like that" by inserting 600 colonists. It is much more realistic if you, as a colonial power, have to conquer the area and spend tons of money converting the locals to your faith.

Well if you only have to send 6 colonists to get the 600 You have enough luck that it does not matter what obstacle you are given. Plus you need to station an army there to defend against uprisings when your colonists fail. As for money, It does take money to send all those colonists, plus the opportunity costs of those colonists.

Native Americans were people too.

The fact that in America the natives were slaughtered and colonies put up, and in Indonesia the natives remained with a few trading posts and some military presence to guard them is (imo) quite well simulated with colonies and TP.

Now, in the game, you can of course build colonies in indonesia and tps in america, and thus play counter to history if you want...

As for natives becoming loyal citizens the moment the colony reaches a certain size: I don't like that either. I'd have preferred a solution like: Whenever a colonist/missionary is sent to the colony, a percentage of the natives is removed, and added to the colony's population, also when administraition buildings are erected (mayor, governor....); and once the colony reaches city size a certain "trickling in"-effect starts (say 1% of original native population per year)... thus you could have cities with e.g. 900 population, 200 which came from natives, and the rest of the 2500 natives still in the surrounding area... a few decades later most will be subsumed within the colony....
Thoughts for EU3 though... :)

There's a simpler alternative..
Just poke around in your game files, and amend the culture and religon (optional?) for those provinces concerned.
And yes, it cannot be denied that colonisation in Asia, Africa and South America to some extent were not wholly colonies in the true sense of the word.
True colonies would belong to North America and Australia.. where settlers parked themselves on virgin land or drove out the original occupants, and established themselves to be the numerically and culturally dominant/overwhelming people.
For example, in the whole of Southeast Asia that underwent colonisation, you have a small group of intelligentsia and perhaps colonial *stooges* ;) who adapted to Western culture wholly.
However, the majority, (we're talking 95% and above) maintained their Asian way of life generally. After all, English tea and French crossiants are more expensive than plain water and bread...

And if all the Asian colonies wouldn´t get iberian culture if Portugal colonizes it, it would make for a much more historical gameplay.
This way Holland could conquer all Portugese trading posts/colonies in the region without having catholic iberian provinces...
