I've been trying to hassle with both the scenario file and the save game files, but I can't seem to find a reasonable way to extend the game from january 1st 1947!

I'm playing with a minor nation, Finland, which I just got back up from the long-taken war against the Soviet Union and it's taken me nearly all those 12 years to get the troops & technology that would allow me to do further conquest... So any ideas how to actually play the game longer? No matter what I do, the window with the "congratulations bla bla bla" always seems to come up.
