There's an option to unify Skandinavia in all Paradox games so why not here as well?
The argument against it, that I heard before was: HoI has a short time frame and is focused on the war. Cultural Unions are longterm political protjects and won't be in the game at all IIRC.
I would love to see it though. Because shaping the map is the fun sandbox aspect that i am looking forward to. Now I don't know about scandinavia today as well as you all. But I know that it it's not what is relevent for the game and it's timeframe. Also it doesn't really matter whether the maiority of the population would love a union. The question is wheather a norse goverment would change it's name and propaganda to be pan-scandinavian. Völkisch-Fascists alinged with germany would embrace a pan-scandinavian/pan-germanic idea. And Communists would probably abolish the monachy. Proclaim international scandinavian unity than wouldn't be so far fetched, would it?
Than there is the question of how the union should be triggered. Without an external threat or extream pressure by one powerfull norse country I don't imagin it should be likely. But is it really crazier than the franco-british union? Why not have a National Focus tree (with some Ideogical restrictions) that allows the formation of a Nordic Union?
