Yes, the GoIs remain in place. I think that we'll have to add an event where you sign Non-Aggression treaties with the UK, France, and Germany.

The second problem is known. It is caused by using the "country =" command in the event that creates Scandinavia. The problem is that there is no good way to overcome this (liberating, reloading as Scandinavia and then having Scandinavia annex your country won't work because Scandinavia can't have 3 regular_ids, which wold be required for you to inherit their units). My only advice is to cancel your currently researching technologies in the 1 day window between unification and becoming Scandinavia. Alternatively, you can delete them in the save game, but either method causes you to lose all your research progress.

I do have another suggestion for the mod:
I built up an army of marines and mountaineers leading up to the winter war so that I could take Leningrad. I was (surprisingly easily) able to, but unfortunately in spite of taking it, the Finns weren't able to defend their eastern border and got pushed back a lot up there, forcing them to cave in. I realized afterwards that taking Leningrad was kind of pointless since even if I had won the war I wouldn't have been able to keep it anyway.

However, it would be nice controlling Leningrad were a way to trigger the "Winter War Ends - Scandinavian Victory" event before April 1940, just by replacing

date = { day = 1 month = april year = 1940 }

with

OR = {
date = { day = 1 month = april year = 1940 }
NOT = {
control = { province = 187 data = SOV }
}
}

It would also be nice, if at all possible, to increase the chance of the finns demanding leningrad as well as the chance of the soviets ceding it if the Finns or Scandinavians control it. But I guess the only way to do that would be to program two separate event chains.

Also, I'd like to add that for some reason with that particular event chain, notepad is reading the line feeds as squares, making everything really jumbled up and difficult to read. All of the ones above it are particularly fine, and I know it isn't because of anything I've done to it because that's the way it was originally.

Finally, regarding the problems I had been having before:

I removed the guarantees manually from the save file, as signing NAPs with everyone (UK, France and GER) didn't prevent them from breaking them and DoWing me when I did so to Denmark and Norway.

The tech slot problem, I "fixed" by editing them to be done in the save game and just waiting until they would have been finished to use those tech slots again. I still think the "country =" command is better though because it doesn't kill all of your treaties, trades, relations and belligerence the way that releasing scandinavia and reloading does.

I think the best way to get around the tech slot bug with "country =" is to replace what is currently "United Scandinavia Declared" with an event that has the same triggers and just gives a warning to the player about the problem, and tells them that in order to actually become Scandinavia, they should wait until all of their current techs are finished and then move a division to somewhere like Vasteras or Skovde. Moving the division to that province would then trigger the actual"United Scandinavia Declared" event.

I loaded the CCIP+DAIM+SMEP+Scandinavia from your signature onto a vanilla Doomsday install.

I get the "choose type of government" option in the first few days when playing with Norway or Sweden but then no other Scandinavian events.

Also I get the slider reminder events but no "DAIM is installed" message on 2 January 1936. Is this WAD?

CCIP seems to be working OK I think (never played it). Playing Norway, Comm China was eventually crushed by Nat China. Japan didn't attack anyone (including US).

Second game (playing Sweden), Comm China did nothing. I assume there is a chance of this too.

Is there someway for me to check all mods are installed correctly?

Third time through, as Fascist Sweden again, annexed Norway, then attacked Denmark but Germany DOWs Sweden. UK then DOW Germany.

I still managed to annex Denmark and got a message that Scandinavia has been created but the game immediately had a CTD.

Should I be doing something different? Any idea why the CTD happens?

There aren't any other events until you conquer Norway or Denmark. Conquer both and you get to form Scandinavia, and initiate another chain of events.

I can't say anything for certain about that, as I had actually managed to work everything out myself just a couple of hours before Rodriko Stak first posted those files, so I ended up not needing them (though I'm keeping them in case I do run into any trouble with my own setup, and planned on testing them once I'm done my current game)

I'd put these down to luck, as anything is *possible* in the Far East, though with DAIM if Japan does declare war they should win it within about a year.

It doesn't sound like they are. Since I haven't personally tested Rodrico's files yet, I can't say for sure whether they're the problem or if it's the way you installed them, but assuming they work for him, it's probably the latter.

The German and Allied DoWs are expected, as there hasn't been anything put into the Scandinavia mod yet to prevent them. You can fix it yourself in the meantime though by editing any save file from before you declare war to remove the DoIs that the UK, France and Germany have on Norway and Denmark.

I personally never had any CTD when Scandinavia was created - the only problem was the tech team bug I mentioned above, and I've been working on a way to script the event so that that doesn't happen in the future. The tech team bug shouldn't cause a CTD though (and can be fixed by editing the savefile - find your country and then search for the word "application". You can actually have them finish by setting all the values to 100 [in some cases the last needs to be 200], or just remove it altogether to fix the bug without gaining the tech.)

I rely like this mod. When I play as sweden I allways attack Norway n Denmark. But I dont like the colour of Scandinavia. I know that theres somewere to change this, but I cant remember were, and I cant find any "Scandinavia"-file... :\

Im playing Armageddon 1.1 with CCIP and have the same problem. Each time Scandinavia is created the game gets a CTD :(

While I havent been able to test the later parts of the mod I would suggest another 3:ed option instead of just 15% dissent hit.

How about "Stand united against facism" that will ask the other two to create a democratic scandinavia to detter facistic expansion northwards. AI chanse could be 100% and this option could also bring you into alliance with UK after the creation. Another option would be for this event to be delayed until germany goes to war since that would be more realistic.
Ofcourse this would screw with the story of a coup against the government but something could be written about asking the UK for help.

Anyway I would really like to try all of v3.0a out so what version of HoI2 are you guys that get it to work running on? Or anyone know a solution to the CTD problem?

That's an interesting idea. Maybe we'll include it in another version.

It works for me for all versions of HoI2, and all mods, and with no CTD. There is a problem with some people getting CTDs upon creation of Scandinavia, though, so I think that in the next version there will be an option to remain as whatever country you started as with just the extra cores. You won't get the new tech teams or leaders though, or the post-Scandinavian creation events such as the Winter War.

:( I just noticed that im getting the same CTD when I lose any game and get annexed. My limited moding experience tells thats a bad thing.

I too am getting a CTD at the start of the next day after forming scandinavia... (p.s. i bet people would love you if you modded out the GoI's on norway/denmark - the non agression pacts too, among scandinavian countries).

p.s. ive played untill 1941 with your combo mod, and many events just never fire (no marco polo, no unity of germany/austra, no german surrender event, no xian incident or guanxie clique war, etc)

pasting your combo mod over armegeddon is suposed to work ..yes?>

Err... no, it is only supposed to work with Doomsday (that's why it says Doomsday before the link ;) )

This mod, on the other hand, is universally compatible.
