If you already had registered EUIII Complete, it's normal...

I tried it on everything but it worked on EUIII complete, not just EU3, didn't say that in Steam.

It won't work for plain EUIII, as the game you have on Steam, although called EUIII is actually the "Complete" (including NAx and INx expansions). Let's face it... Steam is a bit messed up...

Very few developers are willing to do this, but I think that it is brilliant. Paradox gives EU III away to their loyal fans, many of which may not have ever had the chance to play it yet. And then when EU IV comes out they have gained a bunch of new customers who enjoyed the previous game so much that they buy the new one.

Although I already owned the game and its expansions, I would like to thank Paradox for being a great company that continues to improve upon their efforts to take care of the fans.
