Hi there henryjai
Well you will in no time create the great saxony...three hurras to that:D

I noticed you play vip. Is it much beter than vainilla? Do you see the difference or is it just cosmetics? I was considering playing Vip in my glorious french campaing but in the end decided to go all vainilla, so the guides in viki wiki did apply a bit.

There are few things more satisfying than crushing Prussia with a German minor. Did it with Baden and Bavaria, but I guess Saxony is even harder. Consider it payback for the Seven Years War :D

Hi there henryjai
Well you will in no time create the great saxony...three hurras to that:D

well, VIP is totally different experience from Vanilla, I can't tell much about that as I don't play VIP very often.

Well, I did looked up the guide to Saxony a bit, not surprising, the opening move is to attack Hannover for land. Expect to have the war last a few years unless you go into debt in 1836, which is risky and I didn't win the war till 1840. I was being owned by the 4 divisions hannover have until I recruited 2 cavalry divisions and another infantry division.

Then in 1847 I DOWed Denmark after Prussia DOW Denmark. My cavalries quickly overrunned Holstein and Denmark, annexing Holstein, and toke 2 provinces from Denmark. Then I went to South America and DOW Chile, I toke 3 of their provinces as well as humiliation
(to milk prestige later on, always good to have a few weak, humiliated civs around for you to milk prestige, that 100 prestige is worth 1 BB I'd say, plus you might have some useless uncivs to release to reduce badboy)

I then go for the middle east and toke a few provinces, those are not really important, the main thing is that I build up a huge army (compared to Prussia) and toke the Austrian side in 1865(or 1866?) The Prussians are no match of me + Austria. I have been tech trading with Austria a lot so their armies would be tougher. I annexed a good deal of territories in a few months, and after the truce expired I attacked Prussia again (the Austrian AI is not greedy, I must say), this time I occupied all of their territory and they have no choice but to surrender everything.

I would imagine if I keep building a huge army(That shouldn't be hard), I would be able to unite Germany by warring Austria but very likely Russia/France would intervene. I have a modern navy too... (but small), technically I am in a good position to have european conquest but that'd be tedious work.
