saving game does nothign with new patch (bug)

Sort of like it says whenever I save a game since the new patch it shows that I save. But when I log out and try to reload the game nothing happens it just reloads the start map of whatever year I started at. But the game I played is gone. Ive saved on both cloud and locally on ironman and not still the same bug. This is on the new patch.

Please try a full clean re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "delete local content" in Steam-CK2
- manually delete all files and folders left under Steam/CK2 AND Documents/Paradox/CK2
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.

If that doesn't help post a dxdiag.txt (you can delete everything after the end of the "Sound devices" section for brevity) and your Documents/CK2/settings.txt. From your Documents/Paradox/CK2/logs/ directory, post system.log . Open setup.log in notepad and search for 'checksum', post that line only here too please.

yeah same thing with me, i played for so long on ironman didnt experience 1 bug or crash, and then today i try to load up the game but it loads up as the abbasid caliph he was my liege and i was able to uncheck ironman. how long does it usually take for paradox to release expansion patch fixs? this is my first expansion.

Re installing it worked but the games are now corrupt so I have to start over.

2.2.0.1 is out now in beta. But we have no evidence this is a game bug, given that a reinstall fixed the OP's problem.

i didn't reinstall but the beta patch seems to have fixed it. Now just to find out how to destroy the Abbasid super blob from within...

I started having the same problem today. I've been playing 95 years already and now when the date goes past February 864 the game just won't save... It shows like it's saving, but it's way too quick and there are no new save games anywhere. I updated to latest beta patch, validated files, still same issue. I need help please...

Yeah, I also did a full clean reinstall, didn't help. I should have mentioned that I'm running XP. I found somewhere the same issue reported and the suggested solution was to force XP to use 3 GB RAM so I did that and it seems to work. Strange thing is, I got a blue screen shortly after restarting my game with the 3 GB fix so I switched back to 2 GB and then everything was fine for 2 years of gameplay until the problem appeared again. At the moment I'm back to 3 GB again and haven't seen the same issue so far (or any more blue screens... )

Depends how much physical Ram you actually have. If you have 3gb installed, you can't let CK2 try to get all of it. So you'd set the limit at say 2.5gb instead.
