Savegames wont work.

Hey all. There maybe a thread like this but i didnt find so here we go.

I have played CKII with Umayyd now like 10h (maybe more little more or less".)

First all work well, i save my games and then i load them when i want to play again.

Now when i try to load my savegame, theres nothing, i mean the game load somting but theres nothing, no kingdoms, no characters nothing but only grey map. Wont make a difference what "save" option i use, Quicksave, Save&quit, save etc, Always same thing.

Atm there was year 900, there is 3 autosave, 898,899,900 none of them works, always just grey?

Little older savegames work just fine, like year 870 is fine. but when i save it (many times) and try to load it, always grey..?

Please help me. Sorry for bad english.

Might want to check your checksum, then verify the integrity of the cache. That usually fixes a good majority of problems with any Paradox game- otherwise if I had to guess you've probably got issues with using outdated saves or mods. If that isn't the problem either, then just reinstall.

First of all,
to get technical help you should post in the Tech support subforum , for wich you have to register your game(s).

Basically,
1. Connect your Paradox account with Steam inside your Paradox account
2. Synchronise your Games in Owned Items (hover your mouse over your account name top left , there are Owned Items) with Steam

If you still got a CD Key, then you might be able to register only the base game at "Register a Game" without doing the aforementioned.

Second of all,
your save or game files seem corrupted, which could be caused by insufficient memory, saving in the cloud, incompatible mods or save files and other.
Several possibilities exist.

I recommed to register your game to get access to Tech Support and other subforums, including mod forums and then this thread
might get moved to the Tech Support. If not, just post there again.

Not easy to know what caused this, sorry.

yup sure as Bernard95 said, try a "verify integrity of game cache " in the games' Steam Properties-Local files first.

Did both and didnt help

I just cant understand how saved games could be outdated or somting.. Like my save with umayyd 875 works just fine but save from 899 wont work, just grey.

Not an expert on the game, but seeing as something similar happened to me: Have you checked that the drive the game saves into still has empty space? Once I ran of space there and the game kept creating save files but as there was no room for them, they were just 0 bytes and contained no data.

If it's not that, GL finding the reason.
