I know it is a bit late, but you should never install anything in the Program Files folder Vista. Vistas claims that for its own and will mess with anything you put in there, the best idea is to create something like a C:/games/Paradox folder.

As for your problem I have seen many threads of people who can't find their saved games, but never anyone you can't find the entire folder. You might send a PM to coreymas , he is one of the resident HOI tech experts and seems to know more about Vista than anyone I have seen on these boards.

Before I even got Vista, one of the first things I ever read, was that you create a "C:/Games" folder, and put all yer gaming crap in there.

It's eass-thh-eh.

I did that... and then it came up with another error message saying that my computer isn't protected from the internet or something like that!? It's all a bit annoying really! Hahaha! Will give it a shot again...

If you have a properly functioning Anti-Virus program that scans everything then you will not have any worries with UAC turned off. Also if you dont go to "suspect" websites then you should never really have any worries (all the major free online email providers have virus scanners built in).

If you need a free anti-virus program there are many on the internet to choose from ....
