I had a long-running campaign under vanilla DV. It was pretty stable, but I thought I'd reinstall everything.
First, I copied all savegames into a backup folder. Then I uninstalled everything and made sure the registry was cleared of all CK stuff. I reinstalled CK, then DV (then the "break_free" mod, which I had had installed previously), and then copied the backup saves back into the save folder. Now, I can start a new game, but the old save games won't load: It crashes in the "initializing script" phase every time.
I've tried reinstalling DV both with and without installing the 1.05 patch beforehand. Same result.
I have no idea how this could happen if I didn't do anything to those backup save files... They are being loaded into exactly the same environment I had them in before.
