I just tried loading the autosave game (1.4) and it crashed while loading. I went into the saved games file so I could post the file, and my newer saved games (since transferring all files to my new PC) aren't there, including the autosave and one that I manually saved. My old saved games from my previous PC are there and work fine. When I bring up the "save" menu in game, my recent saved games appear in the list. Weird. Any thoughts? Has the save game file moved?

Running Windows 7.

Thanks in advance.

Right, I guess I've stumped everyone. Seriously, what folder are games saving to in 1.4? Is it no longer AOD>scenarios>save games? If it is, any thoughts on why my saves aren't appearing in that folder, but I can still load the games?

I have heard from others that installing in C:/program files/ can activate some virtualization stuff inside windows.

Thanks, Lennartos. I eventually found them in My Documents>AppData>Local>VirtualStore>Program Files>Arsenal of Democracy... the rest is the same.

Odd.

Do you mean to tell me that installations in the folder Program Files (x86) do not experience this issue? Why do I have two program files folders, anyways? These are larger questions, I realize.

I am not sure - seems thats a "featrue" of vista / win7.
Install in another directory like C:/Games/AOD to prevent such issues.

You install all the less important software on program files (X86) while the important software (like hardware stuff) in Program files. It's really to stop games from ruining your computer by doing something supited.

I think...

Windows 64 Bit Editions have two program files folders, the one with x86 is for 32 Bit programs.

And yes, do not install games into any of these two program files folders as this may (and often do) cause problems, especially with older games.
