Save is Corrupted or Altered

Good morning.

I am absolutely infuriated because I was actually winning in that save for once in my daggum life. Will I EVER get "Nobody's Business but the Turks"?

Okay, it just got weirder.

I clicked "PLAY" and, surprisingly, the Iron Man save started up. I checked to see if I was in normal mode by pressing the tilde key to call up cheat codes, and it didn't show up.
Does this mean that I can still get "Nobody's Business but the Turks"?

Um... what patch were you playing with? There was a new beta patch yesterday, so if you were playing beta 2.4.3 stuff got changed.

No, I wasn't playing the Beta patch. I was playing the current, stable one. Was the patch updated last night? That would explain a lot.

had this happen to my save first time I restorted the roman empire, about a year ago. And that's the only time it has ever happened to me. It's frustrating yes, but I don't think there's anything you can do about it other than starting a new game.

I'm terrified this will happen to me. I am working on "Nobody's Business but the Turks", and I doubt I can do this good again.

I was told that a patch was released overnight after I saved an Iron Man game. I assume that if I order Steam to never update CK2 until I finish this game, I won't be at risk unless I run a Mod or a MP game.

Updates will not mess with your ironman game. If you manually changed a patch that will affect you.

Without actual information as to how you save, or how the issue arose, this report is basically useless.

Pretty much this. Only the 2.4 patch itself broke ironman games (and only in the sense they were nonsensical) for me, and this doesn't seem to be common problem - so the possibility its either your install, your system or you can't really be ruled out.

The body of your report also needs to be more descriptive. As I said above, this isn't a common problem, so its either something you are doing, or an issue with your install or hardware.
