Hi, I was wondering if there was an easier way of finding where in the save game file your dynasty / country was, for example in eu3 you could search for human=yes. Or something like that.

My second question is about how your liege lord, if you have one, hands out spare duchies. I was playing as the Count of Devon in a 1066 start and William holds the Duchy of Cornwall. In the hopes of being granted it I sent my 50 odd troops to 'help' the main English army put down various rebellions, did this actually help at all, or is the handing out of duchies only affected by relations with the current holder of it.

Thanks, Turak

(bump disguised as legitimate post) Is the answer to this really obvious? Or does no-one actually know?

First question: to find your character, search for "player=yes". Your titles can be found by searching for their names, each of them being in the format k_jerusalem, where "k" is the title rank (Empire, kingdom, duchy, county, barony) and "jerusalem" is the area, e.g. Ireland, Normandy, Kaliopolis.

Second question: I'm not entirely sure of all the factors, but I think that relations with your liege are most important. Helping the English army put down rebellions doesn't really do anything for your relations with your liege; you only get a relationship boost with the owner of the county the rebels are in when you fight them.
