I created a custom ruler and through a series of bad luck (certainly not my fault), I ended up losing the game. I want to continue playing in the same world, though, so I plan to just play as the guy currently ruling my realm now, however I want to change his dynasty to be mine. I have changed his dynasty in my save game file but upon loading the save, he still has his regular dynasty. I have even changed every single reference to his dynasty in the save file to my dynasty but for some reason he -still- keeps his own dynasty instead of showing up as part of mine.
Is there something I'm doing wrong, or can dynasty names not be edited in a save game?
As a side note, I was able to change my dead dynasty's name to his dynasty just fine, but for some reason his dynasty refuses to change.
