Save crashes shortly after unpause 2.1.6

as the titles says, the game crahes with the "CK2 has stopped working..." window a few seconds after unpausing. It will also crash if i try to save the game or exit it in anyway (because it tries to save).

I did notice that the dynastic crest is different than when I started the game (867), so that might be the problem?

I hope this can be fixed, I want my basque cathar empire to continue spreading gender equality throughout the land!

That crashed for me too so I've logged a new bug on it. Just put that game aside and try it as each new patch comes out.

Same issue here.
Ironman save crashes after one ingame day , both on the Mac and Win partition.
I don't know if it's fixable, but I really wanted to finish this one to the end date

Same issue here - been playing a game for the past week - upto 1206, saving every so often and with autosaves. Came to load today and it crashes before 1 day passes. Went back and tried previous loads - the final game that will load is from 1168, which I saved at 3pm yesterday. My next save was for 1188, at 9pm that evening, and every save after that has a crash. I have a new monarch on those games, but cannot for the life of me fathom out what would cause it to crash - I really don't know what I'm looking for.

I've tried loading as a different character, killing off the ruling monarch via a console command, in case it was him causing the issue, all to no avail. A lot happened in those forty or so years - don't really want to go and start again.

Sorry if this is hijacking the thread, but it appears I have the exact same issue - thought it best not to start another thread.

Well, if its "the exact same issue" then my post #2 applies; it would be covered by the same bug report. FWIW that most recent one does not crash for me under the latest beta for 2.2 , so the signs are good.

I'm having the exact same issue in my game... is the 2.2 beta available for download? If not, when is it expected for release?

I'm having this savegame issue with just the base game. I have no DLCs installed.

2.2 comes out with the next DLC Charlemagne. I don't think a date has been announced, but keep an eye on the main forum. No, it is not a public beta (and I doubt will be, on this occasion).

That game ran for a year under 2.2 just fine.

I have had the same issue. After a day passes the game crashes.
