Save broken after restoration

I accidentally deleted my non-ironman hispania save, and I brought it back with Recuva. (Note, I use no mods) However, I am now unable to access it. Could anyone help me? Thanks!

If you open that file yourself with, say, Notepad++, you'll see it starts in the middle of a word, so you've only rescued part of the file. And the end is corrupted. This file is unusable, I'm afraid.

I'm a little puzzled that you needed a rescue app to get your deleted file back, it should have just been in the trashcan. Or did you empty that?

Oh ok . I had a lot of autosaves and I was using the ingame delete function to get rid of them, I checked the recycle bin but it wasn't there. Thanks for clarifying! Time to play some Norse now
