They will mostly make so you can go histroical, BUT If you want you can do an Alternate history. Paradox's game have never been to replay history. IMHO The idea of very little sandbox sound horrible. Why would someone want to play as Germany know you going to lose? The biggest attraction to Paradox's games is the sandbox and Alternate history of their games. Not to Replay history over an over again the same way.
Bigger the sandbox the better.

Well great. As long as invading the Soviets or sinking the RN isn't a cake walk.
At least don't release it with a consumer goods bug.

That is, of course, if you are not allied with Soviet russia and GB against the ottoman empire and US.

I presume there will still be major event's like the anschluss and similar? Will you be providing a more sanbox type of experience by giving us more options on how to handle these events? For example i love what you guys did with war of the roses in EU4.

As long as it is within reason. I don't want Russia to gobble up the Nordic countries in 1937, or the UK deciding to eat Spain at the start of the civil war. The world has to be somewhat plausible or it is just silly. Personal opinion of course. Have no issue with a sandbox, just try and keep the world within reason.

Of course I just don't want a railroaded game. You know?
This was a feature in For the Glory (or maybe even vanilla Eu2) but I don't think Paradox will implement it here, Paradox will definitely lean towards sandbox as they've taken the side of "if you want pure history, read a book". The fun of Paradox games is not purely emulating history but doing better or just different.I'd like to see options at the setup of a game that allowed you to change how deterministic the game was. I like playing a historic game, but after a few play throughs, it would be nice to mix it up.
