Sales on DLC needed! Rights of man got me playing again but behind on DLC!

Hey! I think we are about due another sale on DLC. Have started playing again because of rights of man, but I am so far behind on the rest of the DLC that it is somewhat off-putting. I want to get into multiplayer but don't want to buy every DLC at full price.

There could/will be a Halloween/Autumn Sale in a few days on Steam. With a litte bit luck, the DLCs of EUIV will be discounted too.

Honestly, I think that with each new DLC the olders ones should be made free or have like a permanent -80%/-90% discount. The developers wouldn't loose as much as people who constantly buy new DLCs will still buy each one, but it'll help people who miss the older ones.

Imo steam hyper discounts are the reason of the high base price of paradox dlcs, and not the opposite, but that's a personal opinion since i really have no numbers on that

In multiplayer, I believe all users play with the DLC owned by the host. Just join other player's games and you can play with all the DLC without buying them. After the sale, you can be the host.

At risk of sounding like a parent, "Christmas is coming". Steam usually do huge sales around that time. I would imagine there will be a sale then.

That being said, wasn't there a paradox developer sale not too long ago? Around a couple weeks ago?

I guess it is really frustrating for people who started to play on the new patch and realized that it was almost impossible to normally play without Common Sense dlc (especially for non-European countries),... but no discount on CS...

No, but you wont be able to use Mare Nostrum with this save.

You can't start a game and activate / desactivate some DLC during your campaign.

You can use the DLC, but you cannot get acheivements

I'm afraid they've been going the other way recently. It seems that only the base game has been sold with a 75-percent discount in more recent sales. It used to be possible to pick up old DLC for the same level of discount, but these days 66 percent seems to be the maximum.
