I feel you did great, when you think about all that (DLC/Expansions) off sale,. I don`t buy the e-books or music (i don`t play music, while i play) All in all you did good, enjoy the game, it is so worth the money, sale or not, when you think about the replay value and hours and hours it gives you. "ENJOY"

Yeah, exactly, I would have paid full price for it if I was in it from the beginning and able to buy each DLC as it came out opposed to all at once as it is a bit daunting as one purchase, but gladly I caught it on this sale and thus far, it feels like a worthy investment and I've only put 7 hours in.

If you like the in game music then you would like the music DLC too; so you should consider buying them if you like the ingame music.

Maybe at a later date, they're not super expensive to pick up off sale I suppose, nor are the E-books. Thus far though, I've been heavily into the game, spending time reading up on everything, experimenting with different saves to get a feel for the different starting scenarios and custom games. I can tell the days are going to start blurring in to one, I really do love in depth games and high strategy.

It is your decision of course, but I at least think that the music from the music DLC ads to the immersion.

All of the expansions are worth it for CK2, enjoy the game!

The unit packs are great too though I dislike the Saxon and Celtic sprites so I didn't bother with those. Down to personal taste with unit packs. Even if you bought them all you can enable and disable any packs you dislike in the launcher.

Wait... the music isn't tied into the game as standard? You have to buy those to play in the background? I assumed they were just exerts for your convenience.
All the music which was made at game launch is in the game as standard. When an expansion has been launched they have often written new music focused on the cultures/areas that expansion touches and have made new sprites for those cultures/areas. Since not everybody are interesting in getting new music and sprites they have made those separate DLC instead of including them in the expansions, so that people who aren't interested in those, but are interested in the expansion won't have to pay for them.

Very well done. The maturity you exhibited in delaying your purchases for so long should hold you in good stead as you patiently wait years to avenge the insult flung at your greatx8-grandfather. Revenge, cold, blah blah. :p

Seriously, though, well done.

I don`t play with music on, but i still will purchase the music dlc at some point (to support Paradox) but won`t enable music, i don`t hate music, but it distracts from my attention span (little brain). lol

Good on you for going to Steam to buy those things, I know to many people, myself included as a matter of fact, who surrender to the desire to use a third party website to buy the games at the lowest prices without thinking about the developers. Have fun with CK2 and you might want to pick up either EU4 or Vic2 if you ever want more management rather than politics.

If you want to think of the devs then for PI you need to use the PI store, since that is the way PI gets the most money from your purchase.

True, but there have been quite a few problems with it, and Steam is a more widespread and accessible service which is dedicated to letting people download games. If Paradox got all the traffic that Steam does, I would imagine that their servers would be overloaded.

Also, Steam is condoned by Paradox, while other services are not.

The Paradox shop still gives you a Steam copy (hence Steam is condoned), just a bit more $$ ends up in the devs' hands.

I did not know about the Steam copy. I concede the point to you, we should just buy from here.
