Actually Gott Mit Uns is about the battle of Breitenfeld. Lion from the North is about Gustavus Adolphus in general.

I'm not a fan of the idea of music with vocals in the OST tbh and as a mostly ROTW player I think we need more world music, but eh, Sabaton is fine and I'd guess I'd buy the DLC if it ever goes on sale.

Your clearly just hating on Sabaton. I could say the same about Guns Drums and Steel DLC and The Christmas one, it's for fun or for those who might not want complete immersion, just don't use the DLC.

So Metal is 100% European music and Classic is 100% universal music? Music genres are kind of all free for all cultures besides folk music which isn't in the game so far..
I really don't get the connection between European centered and Metal.. Yes Sabaton sings mostly about European wars but the game is also mostly about Europe + what does it mather if the songs are fitting?

Sabaton isnt a bad choice, but honestly the most fitting band would be drudkh by far if they wanted music that ties in with the cossacks. Probably too heavy and aggressive but its pretty solid. Lyrics coming from ukrainian poets and themes of battles upon the eastern steppe. hell half the lyrics on this specific album is about the cossacks lol.

People like it. In increases their enjoyment of the game. They feel positive about having a certain kind of background music. Some simply appreciate some metal to go with their spree of world-conquering epicness. In short: it improves the game for some people. Sure, that may be true about other possible music DLCs as well, but one thing being available doesn't preclude the other.

So please let those who enjoy this play with their toys, you'll get yours eventually too.

Whether Metal DLCs fits into EU4 is a matter of taste. Personally I find it quite asynchronous.

However, inquiring the ethics of including a DLC from Sabaton is not a matter of tastes but of morals. Apparently, we're expected to discuss why the color of Finland is brown, but not whether it was an appropriate move to include a band that has performed at a concert arranged by 1%-ers involved in criminal activities such as trafficking and murder, who have publicly proclaimed "Death to Faggots".

Eh, the artist is distinct from the art. Once produced the intentions of the creator is irrelevant. Which is why I can both be profoundly bored by Hamsun's Hunger and also dislike the man for his German/Nazi leanings during the war.
