The Russian portraits are currently bugged beyond belief. Every time you try to use ruler designer, it always alters your appearance to an entirely different one with a particular beard and short hair. Now we have a second problem apparently too, so this really needs to be fixed. At least on the plus side the portraits are really quite nice to look at-now if only they didn't glitch out.
Oddly, I havent had any problems with my Russian Andalusians, or my Russian Kurds. I've been spammin those faces everywhere because I adore how they look; but they've been aging for me without any glitches or bugs

Some glitches appear when installing updates. For example I have problems with all mods and most DLCs on the steam version, unless I completely uninstall the game and install it cleanly. Until now, I had update on automatically, now I do it manually unfortunately. The problem is not only on Paradox behalf in my case, but I wish that installer was a little more capable than it is.

Did you launch the game directly or through steam? For me, the DLCs and stuff don't load properly if I don't go through steam after I've added a new one. However, once I've done it once I can fire it up directly without issue.
I did - but couldn't find any information regarding this...
In any case, does the Russian characters change throughout the years or absolutely nothing happens to them?
Its a bug that happens just for some people.

Since 1.04 or 1.05, I think, for all later updates I had to delete local content and make a clean install. Nothing else worked. You don't loose mods and files in User folder, but if you made changes to a game file (in installation folder) that is also modified by Pdox, it gets replaced and you loose those changes.
