Etot den' Pobedy porokhom propakh, eto prazdnik so slezami na glazakh.
(It smells like gunpowder on this day of Victory, a celebration with tears in the eyes)

I can fetch the full lyrics... these were just two lines I remember by heart

Hi, I was in SF/LA for a week and some without access to online (meetings-meetings), still am stuck in LA but at least have a few hours a day to go through the email .

CK update is coming as soon as I am back to Moscow (Wednesday), please let the chaps at the forum know. SR&JN are fine and kicking. In fact, they married 3 weeks ago (now don't post *this* to CK forum or they will kill me .

PS Dear moderator, awful apologies for the OT but this was last chance to update the forum. Next time I go to CK direct. Sorry again, OT sucks I know...

Could you? I'm curious if this "Den Pobedy" song is the same as the one on this page: (http://www.sovmusic.ru/marsh.htm), which seems to be a march without words. Either way, this march is pretty rousing as well!
