I have been playing EU now for a little while and have been reading your posts for awhile. Here is my first and I want to put down my best game to date. I am a lazy guy so my AAR is in a timeline form.
I am Russia and its starts with the reign of Ivan the III.

You don't mind stab losses do you
I would have swapped between fighting P-L, The Teutonic Knights, Golden Horde and Sweden instead of taking all those pesky -5 stab for declaring war within 5 years of last peace treaty, but to all his own I suppose.

You cannot take P-L capital because P-L is a major (you could have chosen to play it when the game started). This can be changed in the savegame, but then it is a fuss. It can also be changed before you start a game by modifying the scenario file (or a copy of it).

Search around in the forum, or on the net for more information if needed.

Quite nice AAR anyway. Easy to read.

Yeah, you can't conquer the capital provinces of the playable countries in a scenario.

Ok apparently I saved in 1511 and not 1513 like I thought I did. I guess I forgot to save. SO here is the most recent stuff I've done.

This is getting really hard right now...There taking longer than expected. And it seems like all my little territories are revolting and I can't take Orenburg without first taking all of Brandenburg.

Anyone know how to convert a Catholic to an Orthodox? Even if its by force? All these damn Catholic places keep revolting and I have great tolerance towards them.

A few things on revolts -

The revolts might not be being caused by religion. First, check the stability - low stability can contribute to raising your revolt risk. Second, check the political map (click on the two crossed flags). Any province that doesn't have your 'shield' over it (and is thus not considered 'historically', or perhaps 'ethnically', yours) is subject to an additional revolt risk from 'Nationalism'.

Nationalism is interesting, as it varies over time. For 10 years after you conquer the province it raises revolt risk by 3%; the next 10 years by 2%, and the next 1%. Also, Nationalism revolt risk CANNOT be gotten rid of by any means. All other things that can cause revolt risk can be counteracted if you have negative influences on the province's revolt risk (these include high religious tolerance, high stability, and certain government officials).

Also, as fast as you've been declaring wars... anytime that your stability is supposed to go below -3, it instead starts a revolt for each extra point of stability. You can't just sit at -3 and keep doing things that drive it down without penalty.

Now, revolts can be useful. For example, you mentioned wanting to convert the provinces. This is relatively easy . All you need to do is let them revolt and retake them, over and over, until the population is below 5,000. Then send a colonist.

Oh, and isn't Orenburg the one over by Astrakhan? Why would you need to take Brandenburg to get it?

saved my game...and going to take a walk...this game can get frustrating when all isnt going my way. I onlly have two places cranking out most of my men....Moscow and Ukraine...the other places wont give me enough. And I constantly have people declaring war on me, but they chicken out...its cool...The only other place doing any real damage is Spain....Looks as if we may have Europe split between us at one point...my plan is to get all the German area's next...then France..Spain, portugal...British Isles...Italy...then Hungarian area and swipe the Muslims out of Europe..All the way down to Istanbul. If I can hold on to all my territory then Ill go after Goldenhoard, Astrakahn...then the Middle East and then smash my way into CHina and also take Japan.

saved my game right when 11,000 Hungarians repelled my 86,000 Russians. I don't know how..I got one of their provinces in control and now making more guys to send into Hungary. I got enough guys around the border that Hungary wont do any damage while I'm waiting for my guys to be built.

This happens quite often, although it is funnier when you are the side with 11,000 than it is in this example.

Someone made a thread with what I think is the record, where the enemy routed his 20,000 army with only 6 cavalry

Good luck to you, even though you may not need it to conquer Europe. What is your yearly census taxes? Have you colonized anything yet?

yes I have alot of places uprising. But I am trying to be as tolerant as I can. I have only sent colonies to the extreme East of modern day Russia and thats not working out to well. Natives are killing me off. I think I need to calm down so I can improve infrastructure.

One great thing is all these places are fighting wars of there own elsewhere so I am able to attack them without their full attention being turned to me which is there mistake. Im also doing this on an easy difficulty. So this doesnt really say how good I really am.

You seem to have reached the point when the whole world declares war on you as soon as you get involved in any war... That is a bit annoying, I agree. If you get an army group out to Siberia, you could clear off the natives if they are really aggressive, and also improve your chances if he is a conquestador. Good luck!

You CAN conquer Masovia, you just can't annex it. And if Orenburg is the one in Hungary what is the name of the one in Sibir? Oreburg?

Okay, I checked on the province names, and I was right. Orenburg is next to Astrakhan and at the gates of Siberia.

Given the context and similar spelling I think he was Odenburg, which in eastern Austria.

There's also an Oldenburg on the northwest German coast next to Bremen.
