So a few things before we begin. I have yet to play a complete campaign through. The farthest I got was 1650's with Portugal. This is my first real attempt at Russia, and I'm trying to learn a lot of tricks and things before I start going for the harder achievements. I currently have a 4/4/4 45 year old ruler and no heir. 4/6 diplomatic relations (maybe 5/6) and the following....
The first problem
Westernization
I have the option for Westernization, but the big issue is which advisor to choose. I have mini-doom stacks ready to crush the rebels....
I have 100% Patriarchy (so -3 revolt risk) & 100% Religous Unity...
Even have the religion Idea that gives me -25% Stab cost...
I'm making decent ducats to run up mercs if my infantry die...
BUT I don't know whether to go for most Admin points advisor to try and up my stab as quick as possible, or to go for the national revolt reduction to decrease spawns of stacks
After Westernization
I'm sort of boxed in at the moment. I have a powerful Sweden above me, a decent size Lithuania to my left, and Crimea+Ottomans below them. I busted Timurids down a size over 3 wars, and it looks like Persia will take their place as the powerhouse in that region. My last ditch effort to post-pone WWI/II & III is to go after Oirat Horde east of me. I have Kazan as a Vassel, and I was thinking of picking up Khiva as a Vassel to feed Timurid and Persian territory as well. I am currently allied with Lithuania & Spain, and have Poland under a PU. In this game, Lithuania and Poland never PU'd, and Sweden has been starting wars taking over Norway/Denmark/Hansa. Lithuania is currently allied with Spain and Sweden, while Sweden is just allied with Lithuania + some people I'm not worried about. I outnumber everyone but the Ottomans by a good bit, but if Sweden+Lithuania+Spain came knocking, they would win. I only outnumber the Ottomans by roughly 20 troops, (I of course have more manpower to sustain a war than they do), and I'm 2 or 3 mil techs ahead of them. Lithuania+Sweden is tough & Crimea+Ottomans+Smaller people are tough as well.. I can't ally Crimea, Timurids or Ottomans because of previous wars. Sweden might want to form an alliance with me, and Persia will definitely want to. But no matter how big I get going east, I really want to go West. I just don't know the best possible approach. Any ideas?
