Russian Event May Not Work

I'm playing as Muscovy and in 1521 became Russia and everything's hunky dory. Now in March 1540 I got the Russian Claims In The East Event (It All Belongs To Us) I was supposed to get troops and CB sheilds on a whole bunch of Eastern provinces. Except I never did. Not one extra CB sheild anywhere.
Less than a year later I got the same event for Poland/Lithuania and that seemed to work just fine--got all those lovely CB shields. So I'm wondering if it was just a fluke, or if anybody has seen this bug. (I'm playing on the latest patch 1.02)

When you became Russia did your message settings change? I think they did for me but I am not really sure. Maybe I just never encountered some of those messages before - stuff like the revocation of vassalage etc.

NO, I'm not sure what messages you're referring to.

Had you saved and restarted from save since becoming Russia? If not, the game may have thought you were still Muscowy... stragne things happen when someone 'becomes' another country, you should always save and restore at that point.

Well perhaps that should be added to the next patch - as I was planning on playing Timurids for multiplayer quite extensively.
