They get defeated all the time. They are cornered by two Catholic nations, and PLC has OP ideas.

Russia does need a buff badly. I often see Novgorod take out Muscovy like it's nothing, it's very strange. Every game I've had in 1.12, Muscovy is the one getting eaten.

I think every country should at least attempt to take advantage of terrain and weather. It would probably make the AI less stupid and more smart and fun.
