playing as Germany, i easily won against poland and france, basically getting vichy in january 1940. I think i chose the historical molotov-riobbentrop pact even though i am not 100%sure. At least, i am sure i did not choose 'no deal with the bolcheviks'. what happened is that teh eastern part of poland never got given to russia. and in april 40 they USSR dowed me. from there it was a long barbarossa, which finished in 41 by the victory of germany. Is this normal, i mean is it a possible outcome of the various events? URSS did not dow poland as they usually do in 39, or maybe i was too quick and got poland annexed before they could intervene. Other strange things happened in that game:
Japan and kwantung never managed to hurt china.
I did not ally with either italy or spain and in 1942 (spring) italy joined the allies and dowed me.
The remnants of russia decided to attack me again even though they stand no chance.
the allies are not invading any of my coastal area even though they are very lightly defended, but they do retake islands such as malta or sardinia.
Has anybody saw that kind of thing before?

Well for the SU dowing u in 1940 thats the way its supposed to be i think, u see ure not the only one that gets to choose what happens in that GER-SU deal right before war with Poland. Just as u can select "no deals with the Blshevics", SU can go with "No deal with the enemies of the workers" (or something like that) and the "big" event wont fire, one that splits the Poland later, so basicaly u get the whole cookie as Ger, SU gets pissed off and dows u :)

As for invasions and islands, that depends on AI, idk exactly how its set in this mod but it can range from AI not attacking human player, to AI avoiding coasts with coastal defences (u prolly have 10 coast defence in each province with just 1 division) to like massive landings all the time. Usually allies never get a chance to land in Europe in my games, cuz UK is usually German before 1941 :p

When you attack Poland, you take the west part. In this mod, the USSR DOW's Poland after you've made progress, and they grab whatever you have not grabbed. The war with Poland ends when *you* annex Poland, which happens the VP province in eastern Poland has been captured. The Soviets don't end the war, even if they take that province, because you took the capital, so you are the one who has to annex.

If you don't annex Poland I have no idea what happens later. Maybe this. So my first question would be, did you forget to annex Poland?

Thanks for all the answers.
What actually happen is that USSR chose no deal with germany in the ribbentrop pact event. They did not get anything from poland and then chose to attack in 1940 for some reason.

That reason being that non-aggression pact was never signed. ;)
