Right sorry, focus on my use of "might", but I agree, they are advanced compared to most of the nations today. My intention was to point out the Russian army as "too weak"

Mmmm, i don't really think a civil war would be a good idea.
I mean how do you imagine it? commies vs cappies? commies vs fascists? Since nationalism and communism in Russia are steadily becoming almost the same thing (which is strange, but anyway :wacko: ), left-right battle is not likely to occure. And since cappies haven't got a single seat in the parliament in the previous elections, war with cappies is also not likely to be waged.

Claiming Belorus is ok, since Russia and Belorus already have already agreed on unification in near future, but Kazachstan should be a problem i guess. As far as I know U.S. has its troops in the area, and is not going to let Kazachstan disappear from the map that easily. Georgia, since in HoI it is represented with just 2 provinces, how would you imagine Russia taking Osetija / Abkhazija / Adzharija?

Making Russia take any more territory is a suicide as it will lead to immidiate war with NATO.
I mean, when you do those war declaration triggers, don't just increase warentry value for U.S., better have NATO declaring war right away.

So, instead of territory taking triggers, i suggest you make some of the army reformation, because with the kind of army Russia has today, it would not be able to defeat even Saudi Arabia

And a little offtopic, but to the point: are you going to make U.S. have its troops all over the world and are you going to make trigers like "U.S. withdraws the majority of its armed forces from Western Europe"?

I don’t see that nationalism and communism in Russia is the same thing. I mean just recently the communists were out protesting Putins recent attempts to further centralize the government. Ironically the stuff Putin has done in recent day is close to what we had him doing in our fantasy plot.

Basically in our plot a few years divisions in Russian society will lead to conflict between opposing factions. At this point these divisions will be Putin and a more authoritarian faction and another faction that has western support. This group may be democratic or it may just be a corrupt organization that’s looking for more shared power either way it has some EU backing.

At the same time China and the US should already be at war and China to secure its northern border will offer military support to who ever will keep the fighting away from China and keep Russia out of the Sino American conflict, most likely this will be Putins faction.

There will be army reforms and at the start of the scenario US troops are stationed around the world but by the time of the major fighting US troops will be in Asia and the mid east.

Fascists? Communist? Together?
People in Russia Fascist are teenagers roaming on streets kicking non-russians. They will never get enough political power. Same to commies. Just old fanatics and young idiots supports communists. Espesially after several oligarchs "bought" themselves places in communist party.

No way. Belorus has Lukashenko, who will never surrender his place. He is already having almost dictatorship there.
Kazachstan is one of the closest ally of Russia. There is a possibility that K. will join peacefully. As far as i know Russia, not USA, has troops in K.

I doubt USA now would be able to defeat Saudis. THey have to much money.


BTW I spose most of central asia USSR countries will join Russia without war. They never wanted to leave SU.
